I love cooking and eating mushrooms.

But not many people know that unlike other mushrooms, Honey Mushrooms must be blanched (boiled for 1-2 minutes, then immediately immersed in cold water) before cooking.

Otherwise, they become mushy, slimy, bitter and oftentimes causes uncomfortable GI problems.

I made sauteed Honey Mushroom fried rice rice last night and it was delicious.

My girlfriend ate more than me; a feat not easily done, especially be a tiny Filipina...
