INTRODUCTION

Hello Steemians, I am @freshgrace here to share my experience yesterday. Photos will be used to connect the write-up for your pleasure.

Obedience is about being submissive in its totality. The ability to do what you are told to do even though it's for the first time. This means that you do not say no and later go to do the same thing. Using myself from my experiences, especially that of a few days ago.

My boss called me to pick up an amplifier for repairs; I thought it wouldn't take my time, but it took my schedule of the day from early morning until evening. The place was very busy, and attending to me was a thing of begging the repairman. He accepted, but I will have to wait. According to my boss, the amplifier is needed as much as I can.

THINGS TO NOTE ABOUT OBEDIENCE

LOYALTY TEST

The beginning of obedience is from the place of loyalty. Many people may claim to be obedient to their master but lack absolute loyalty. Without giving everything to your boss, there is no obedience. I am not loyal when there's something for me to benefit from. When there is nothing to gain and you're still available, that is loyalty.

INCONVENIENCES

Waiting for a convenient time to do anything as a person under authority is not obedient. When you are willing and ready to cancel your personal engagements for the sake of your boss or the office you're working for.

THE REASON YOU'RE UNDER AUTHORITY

A lot of persons have problems in their workplaces by not seeing total obedience to superiors as part of their commitment to their work description.

COMMITMENT

Obedience is commitment and dedication to what you're doing. If you're not obedient to your boss, you will not have a good working environment. The reason is that your boss gives you directives on what you should do. Your response always is evidence of obedience.

THE GOAL OF TEAMWORK

There will be no nexus in the organisation amongst workers, especially between the superior and the junior staff, nor will there be teamwork without obedience. It enables the hierarchical order to help have a convenient delivery.

I considered the above and decided to put in over 6 hours for the amplifier to be ready with serious hunger and tastes that were in my stomach. The sun was hot and where to even sit down and wait was not there. I moved around, looking for air, and at one point sat on a speaker, and the other times I made use of a generator to sit down. The inconveniences and begging the repairman were too much.

Finally, the repairman attended to me and, on finding the faults, asked one of his boys to fix it for me. Thank God it was done, and I left happily as my boss was on the phone, and I rushed home to refresh and eat before trying to catch up with the invitations I had for the evening.

CONCLUSION

“Obedience is better than sacrifice.” Don’t wait for a convenient time before you commit yourself to obedience. There is no pretence in it but what we have to give, although it could be painful and demanding.
