RE: Salt

We have gorgeous natural Mekong Delta salt - the solution is extracted BY HAND by local families and evaporated over charcoal fires. It's my go-to, fair trade salt.

I object to Himalayan Salt, the vast majority of which is mined by children under virtual slave conditions in Pakistan. We should be boycotting this stuff!! Digging out whole mountains in ecologically sensitive areas? Nah.

Love my local, sustainable salt and the fact that I have personally met the lady and her family who draw the salt solution from Mother Earth.

oh cool! The pink salt largely available in canada is mined in India

Lots of child labour in India too. :( Check and see if they can guarantee it is fairly traded. Sadly I'll bet you 50 steem it's not. :( I say this after trying to get Himalayan salt certification for 6 months and ultimately giving up and walking away.

Woooaaah it's here! I'm off to go stake my lotus! So exciting 🤘
