RE: Enjoy the Natural Coolness of "Bael" this Summer.
We have loads of Bael fruit here in Thailand too and I NEVER EVER TOUCH OR DRINK IT. Why? They serve it in the temples here to kill the sex drive of monks. Natural herbal castration, basically. Truly. And me? Well, this sensual Scorpio woman happens to rather enjoy her healthy sex drive and prefers to keep it naturally ... um... healthy. Haha.... Nice post, but you might want to reconsider drinking bael on a regular basis, unless you plan to be a monk.

🤔🙄😏🥺Frankly speaking that is something very new and I believe many would not be aware of this logic. Infact during summer you will find many cart full of Bael vendors across the roads in India serving these juices . Even I use to have them occassionally during summer and never ever felt low on my natural urges....though sometimes I get more😶....and I never want to be a monk atleast till I am physically fit and active😉

There are actually many side effects of over-consumption of Bael.
"Now that you have understood the many benefits of Bael juice, it’s time to get down to its side effects. Over-consuming this fruit juice can lead to certain disorders like:
Lowered Blood Sugar Levels
Stomach Upset
Throat Burn
Interaction with certain medicines
Vomiting
In worst cases, it may cause liver damage and liver failure.
Bael juice in pregnancy is known to interfere with certain medications and hence is not recommended."
Just to add some balance.
Maybe Indian men have SUCH strong libidos that they don't notice its effects?? haha... entirely possible. :) It's certainly served in Thai temples to calm the monks and keep them 'cool'. ;)
Strange....🥺 Over consumption leads to stomach upset that's true.....but surely we are not aware of these side effects....may be "over-consumption" is what causing all the side effects...in any how anything in limited consumption is not so bad......that what I saw since I knew about it....infact the moment you shared about monk story I started to research on internet.to find some story

Bael fruit extract certainly reduces sperm density, motility and viability. There are several clinical studies looking at is as a possible natural male contraceptive. Here's at least one of those: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3556045/
Interestingly I see some Indian sites claim it as an aphrodisiac. Meanwhile, here in Thailand, " this bael fruit drink can be defined as a drink for monks because it is believed to help focusing concentration and meditation." Go figure.
See i told you...we have totally different take on this fruit. But now i knew some more interesting facts...the monk drink......like the "old monk"😉
