Cast Iron Solar Oven!

It is blazing saddles here in Eugene almost 100 degrees... I had a jar of soaked organic raw sunflower seeds and had an idea.....🌻🌻🌻🌿🌱🌿🌻🌻🌻 I mixed 1 tsp sea salt with seeds, spread out in cast iron pan with a glass lid. I placed it in direct sunlight. About 20 minutes later I opened the lid to let some moisture out. Several hours later, they turned out perfect and tasty. Better than stove top roasted by far. Solar energy cooked/warmed food has a life force taste different than food cooked by stove or microwave. You might need a handle cover if you try at home... the pan gets hot!

Regards, appreciated @kimmysomelove42.
I congratulate you on the success with this technique. I thought it was great what you did.
I guess the pan material helped a lot because it keeps the heat for a long time. I also see that the sun was really hot that day, characteristic of the west coast.
Did you grow those sunflower seeds yourself?
All best, Piotr.
Thanks, I think it would work on a 80 degree day too, take a bit longer. No didn't grow these. I eat so many sunflower seeds, a major food staple of mine since being a vegetarian at age 16. I sprout, dry back use in beans, soups, spreads, dressings, smoothies, by themselves.
Great amino's for eye health. I have some sunnies growing in the garden will see, I usually leave most of those for the birds and take a handful for following year planting...
I'd like to say thank you @crypto.piotr for consistently keeping in the loop of all that you are networking. Sometimes, I just don't know enough about the topic for my opinion, but trust that I do read through all the suggested links you send and try to comment as best I can.
