Big homesteading delegation SBI contest!
Guys, I won a 500 Steem Power delegation from @mountainjewel!!!
I just found out, and I'm now running a delegation contest myself with my own SP like I said I would.
Four NEW steemians are getting a 50 SP delegation from me for as long as @mountainjewel's delegation lasts. (Til after Christmas)
Problem is, I don't know who... That's where you come in. I need help finding them!
So, here's the contest rules:
- Nominee must be a new steemian with under 25 SP and no preexisting delegations.
- Nominee must post about homesteading, permaculture, or natural medicine.
- Nominee must remain active on the platform.
- YOU must resteem this post to improve visibility.
If your nominee gets the delegation, I expect a post at least every other day to maintain the delegation (daily is strongly preferred). It is meant to support new folks building their presence and their own native SP, and that isn't done by not posting here.
The reward, you ask?
You and your nominee will each receive a share in @steembasicincome.
Shares will be distributed a few days after the delegation to ensure eligibility.
Being as they're a newbie, your nominee will get two. That'll help em get established a bit. I realize 50SP for a month isn't spectacular, but it'll be a good time to get established and form some relationships on chain without having to worry so much about RC restrictions while embedding in communities here. I recommend starting with @naturalmedicine and @ghscollective, as they're relevant to the contest and awesome communities.
If you're an eligible newbie and nominate yourself, you'll get all three shares for nominator and nominee.
That's it! Now y'all help me get rid of all this Steem Power! No time limit, and I'll start the delegations tonight if I get eligible entries that soon.
Get to it!
Nate
I would love to nominate @petertowers and to have him receiving both shares if he is chosen.
Thank you so much! I just completed the transactions delegating the SP and purchasing the shares :)
Thank you
Congrats, @petertowers!
Our second winner, recommended by @isarmoewe, you've received a 50 SP delegation and three shares in @steembasicincome!
Yay!
CONGRATS, @PERMA!
Our first winner! @perma was awarded a delegation before the contest announcement, so there are still four spots available. Three shares of @steembasicincome we're just purchased, so you should be receiving their vote on your new posts shortly.
howdy sir nateonsteemit! haha I love your action plan with this delegation effort, very generous and can really help a new account to survive and start to build, great job sir!
Love this post. These ideas are awesome and a great way to really reach out to those who are just getting started under these tags. Up voted and resteemed. :)
Really cool, @nateonsteemit! Glad you were one of those selected! I was looking for your daily chicken last night and realized you were probably writing about this!
I wish! Yesterday my department pulled a twelve hours shift and thoroughly killed my weekend lol
Oh well, Christmas money I suppose
50 SP IS spectacular - ask @owasco, who actually got some RC to comment and post when I threw 50 her way! It's such a buzz being able to do that, and STOKED you got the @mountainjewel delegation! I'll keep an eye out for you. Well deserved mate, you rock, so glad you are part of all this with us! xx
Woo! :D
Glad to hear 50 SP can make a difference!
...now I need people.

I know! I keep seeing folks making great posts, and hoping they are new, but everyone has more SP than me! Hahahah

When the average whale looses trust then the hype stops... and even the whales are powering down... So maybe this bathtub will one day full of plankton whales?
Hahaha plankton whales! Now there's a sight to imagine!
Something I notice with whales is that they're literally always.powering down. They have found a system where they are constantly bringing in enough steem to stay steady while they power down. It's how people are living off of steem. To me, I would do it too if I were making as little as $50 a week. That's actually a goal if mine: to be able to sustain a significant income in this ecosystem that I could translate into tangible goods. That's part of why I love @homesteaderscoop so much.

I still need to figureout the whaling thing... Would be awesome if i could make $50 a week... I'm on steemit for over a year, but don't see how to make $50 in a fair manner.
At this point, I think it's a long game. Now is the time to be buying steem while you're still earning. When it is cheap like this, we have an opportunity to grow ourselves. The 117 steem I bought a week ago would have cost me $700+ at the peak, but I got it for $40. So when things go up again, that'll be a really valuable purchase that helped me get established more in this community.
"Fair manner" is up to you, really. I don't see anything wrong with buying votes. I'm doing it right now on a few posts because it is helping me stretch that same 117 steem for a bit more. If I buy votes with a guaranteed 10% profit margin, I get to turn that into 128 steem power instead of just powering up the 117. Plus it has the benefit of increasing any publicity, as I'm buying votes on posts that I want seen for whatever reason. Contests, delegations, etc.
Minnows that think like whales are what this place is needing I think.
