#523 - Getting a tribal tattoo from the tribe of Buscalan.
When we arrived in this small village at noon, we just had some coffee and requested a tattoo from this lovely lady. She is a grand daughter of Apo Wang-Od, which we also had a tattoo with.
We were given a templates of designs that we could choose from from and I chose the arrow design, symbolizes moving forward.
The artist uses a calamansi thorn atttached to a small bamboo to pinch the charcoal deep to the skin.
The process is a bit painful but manageable. I just had to open a small talk with her about their simple life in the mountains.
