Dreamy Sunday Discovery

in #nature6 years ago

When you discover that there is a dreamy, whimsical piece of heaven right in front of your door step.

I used to live at the edge of the forest. Surrounded by nature, overlooking the hills, it was quite dreamy. Recently, I moved to a city south of Vienna. I live in the center, in the pedestrian area, so imagine how I felt discovering that I am, in a matter of speaking, once again, against all odds, at the edge of the forest. Just a couple of minutes walk, and I am in nature.

Next time, I am taking paper, pencils, a notebook, and pens with me, and my bike, because the area is 106 ha (262 acres) large. Forest, river, a pond with an island in the middle, countless little paths, plus a large recreational area, for all kinds of sports, incl. swimming and horse-riding!

Huge golden meadows, many different types of landscapes and terrains.

And, what matters most, for me... Water.

Plenty of water all around.

All photos were taken by me, today, except for this one:

...of me, today.

You are very lucky to have that almost by your doorstep. It is really important to make quick getaways and relax whenever you feel the need to do so. I live in a village, so it's impossible to "avoid" nature (thankfully) :P

Pictures 4 and 5 look like a painting. It looks like the skies had a great inspiration ;)

Well, sounds like we are both lucky then! :)

Also, I think the people here may be spoiled with nature (there is lots of natural beauty in the surroundings), and so, as a result, this quick and luscious getaway wasn't crowded in the slightest, even though it was a Sunday morning.
That is, of course, a nice added bonus, esp. if I am going to draw there.

Sounds like you got the perfect studio then ;)

The same happens here, when you face such beauty every day you don't miss a getaway.

Beautiful privilege. The photos show this dreamy side of the area. One can imagine how powerfully beautiful must it be alive. Lucky girl!

Yes. :)
If I could choose, though, I would rather be a lucky woman than a lucky girl.. :P

From what I see there are enough areas to stay and observe for a while and be in contact with nature. What strikes me is the variety of types of landscapes present.
The day is beautiful and it is perfect to make a complete gallery, until you simply sit down to rest a bit, read or write based on what you see.

Oh, how lucky to discover again you're on the edge of such a wonderful forest! I love to take pen and paper into the wild and write and draw. Sounds like the best of both worlds--Vienna and the forest!

Un hermoso lugar. Y tus fotografías excelentes.
Feliz domingo.

beautiful pictures of the nature😍

Nature is beautiful! And you are beautiful, Sabina :)
