Umm Al Emarat Park - the place we love.

Recently, while taking our night walk with my family, we manage to pass by Umm Al Emarat Park here in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a normal park, you would see all kinds of people sitting around, letting time pass by. Most if not all people take the opportunity to cope up with all the stories from previous working days. The park is very decent and attractive, especially at night. The whole park has very serene surroundings and a perfect place to relax and spend time with your family. When the lights are on various amenities of the park comes to life, my favorites are the fountains inside the park. It was so perfectly lit. And in my opinion, the fountains become so magical especially to kids and adults at heart.

Park takes part in our natural life. It is one of the places where we can get in touch with nature. In a fast-moving world, we live in. Parks and other outdoor recreational places are our sanctuaries to re-energized and slow down a bit in all our daily routines.

For sure there are tones of great memories we made inside a park in our area. I can still remember vividly all my memories way back in the Philippines, we have Luneta Park. This park is closed to my working place in Manila. I used to walk across Luneta Park to reach Intramuros. Inside you would meet people from all walks of life. There balut vendors, musicians, art artists, lovers, athletes, and top-notch businessmen. Time flies when crossing this park before you reach your working place you will stop by and have a chit chat to some people inside the park. If you are lucky you would even see your colleagues behind you running.

I understand nowadays it's hard to visit national parks. We all love a healthy lifestyle and have some fresh air but sometimes visiting public parks may harm us. We all know the situations outside and the risk we may take if we leave the comfort of our homes.

But please, let me asked this personal survey question?

  • Do you still visit National Parks?

George Washington Carver once said:

"Reading about nature is fine, but if a person walks in the woods and listens carefully, he can learn more than what is in books, for they speak with the voice of God."
