Be very wary buying Gemstones, as there is a huge amount of Fraud.

**Sapphire Gems Ceylon run a business selling Sapphires on Facebook, and last night i was frustrated by seeing them misrepresent a Heat Treated Sapphire, as Untreated. This made me realize that while i have a lot of education and experience with Gems, most people would be tricked by this and other fraud i see occurring in the sale of gemstones.

I am a sapphire fossecker, and have found hundreds of carats of sapphires, and had many of them cut by professionals. My stones are direct from the Miner (myself) and i can really promote them as untreated, and unheated gems. However i see many jewellers also sell man made or created gems, and do not tell the public that they are practically worthless.

Take a look at your local jeweller, they probably have some nice Emerald ear rings and necklace, if the stones look very clear and faultless, then they are almost certainly man made or created gems. The same goes for Sapphires jewellery, i see many gems for sale that have no faults or silking and are therefore likely to be man made or treated gemstones.

When you buy a good gem, you would expect that it would maintain or increase in value, and this is true if you get a truely untreated gem of a decent size. The problem is that in this modern world, marketing is more developed, and people value price more than quality. If you buy a gemstones that is heat treated, or man made or created then you will never be able to sell it, not even for 10% of the price you paid. Where as if you buy a good sapphire of more than a carat, its price has increased in recent years from around $800 per carat to above $1500 per carat.

The company #sapphiregemsceylon is a scam company selling rubbish, and backing it up with fake certification and false claims. Like many thinks on facebook it is not as it appears.
