Cape-Town: Salvation

in #nature7 years ago (edited)

In South-Africa, the country has been gripped by a drought that has had severe implications on the country. The Western-Cape province is currently the most at risk with all dams below 15%. The country has been praying desperately for rain...

Let it rain!

Yesterday, 7/6/2017, finally saw a break in the drought with a massive storm that battered Cape-Town, knocking over trees and ripping roofs off houses. It has not all been great because of damages, but no-one can deny that the record rainfall will definitely breathe life back into the country.

Not yet...

Although this rain has been very helpful and will no doubt alleviate the crisis, one storm is a far cry from the needed amount of water...

Hi @dracosalieri, I hope things get better soon. We will all come together to help.

Shyoh, it's been hectic here in South Africa. Even Eastern Cape and Garden Route been hit with outbreak of fires, heavy temperature fluctuations. 28 degrees yesterday, 1 degree today, and veeeery dry.

Pray for rain!
