Watching the snow melt

There's something that is almost magical about watching snow melt through the camera lens.As the ice starts to become more clear and strange shapes appear, the light bends and creates a mystical appearance.Seeing this up close, with a macro lens, made something so ordinary look really special.All I did was take a handful of snow inside and put it on a windowsill; the heat and time did the rest.As I watched, I felt a sense of wonder as the water changed from one form to another.
