Finding beauty in simple things
Today I will talk a little about one of my favorite plants. The name of the plant is Crown of Thorns, another name is Euphorbia milii. The plant has many thorns, but still it blooms with small beautiful flowers. That is why I like the plant so much. When I first brought this plant home, it was very small. It was in a small pot, and it didn't have many branches. At that time, I never imagined that one day it would grow so big. I would water it regularly and keep it in the sun. Slowly the plant started growing.
After a few days, I saw new leaves emerging. The branches were also getting longer. I liked looking at the plant every day. Even with the thorns, the plant looks different and beautiful, which I really like. I was most happy the day I saw the first flower. One morning, I saw small buds. Then a few days later, small red flowers bloomed. I really liked it then. It felt like I had received the fruits of my care for it for so long.
I used two styles to photograph this tree—
Natural color photos
Black and white photos
The color photos beautifully capture the brightness of the flowers, the green of the leaves, and the texture of the thorns. On the other hand, the black and white photos more clearly highlight the structure of the tree, the sharpness of the thorns, and the play of light and shadow. It seems to me that the same tree is captured differently by the camera lens
