Masonic temple. Philadelphia .USA.
The Masonic Temple in Philadelphia was built in 1873, and is located opposite the City Hall. It is the headquarters of the Grand Lodge and serves as a meeting place for 28 Philadelphia lodges, free and dedicated Masons.
Today the building houses the Pennsylvania Museum, which contains a valuable collection of artifacts and sculptures by William Rush, and the Masonic Library, which stores a huge amount of Masonic literature.
The interior of the Masonic temple is very diverse. Eastern and European traditions are combined here. The interior decoration of the building was almost 20 years old. The project was directed by artist George Herzog.
