Light Breaking Through
Sometimes there comes an instance when the sky seems to be more than just a backdrop and turns into a huge living canvas. When the sun starts coming close to the horizon, it starts making crepuscular rays fan out through the broad sheet of scattered clouds.
The stark contrast in the shade of blue in the top and the fiery gold at the bottom makes it one of the most dazzling sights you'll ever see.
In the first picture, the whole sky is covered with a large spread of clouds. The sun shines brightly in the horizon while making bright rays fall upwards from there throughout the entire picture.
The dark silhouette of trees and rooftops can be seen at the bottom of the picture for scale.
The second picture shows the close-up of the complex light patterns. The sun peeks through the lower cloud cover and throws dazzling amber light on the cloud waves, while thin beams of light cut right through the sky.
It is a brief peaceful moment that shows the interaction between light and textures—an invitation to stop and admire the beauty of nature.
