In the rural area where I live, it is very difficult to get fresh groundwater.
Although it comes from 30 to 200 feet, the water is salty and muddy.
They have to dig about 400 feet to get water that is not salty.
In the past, when they could not dig very deep underground no with machines, there were wells that had to be dug by hand.
