The essence of Autumn

The yellow birch! You know, its leaves are really special when the weather turns cool. They're a nice, simple oval shape, but when autumn comes, they change to this brilliant, rich golden yellow. Not just pale yellow, but really deep, like a strong color. When the sun hits a birch tree in the fall, it looks like it's made of pure gold in the forest. And when they finally fall off, they make this great, crunchy sound when you walk through 'em. It's one of the best signs that the cold season is really here. Very beautiful, very bright.
