The 2000 year old tree
A capture from the Barrington Tops here in Australia which I was lucky enough to visit when it was misty & accessible prior to landslides. Walking among these giant trees is such a surreal experience
This one in particular is a "Nothofagus moorei" or otherwise known as an Antarctic Beech & would have to be between 2500-3000 years old.
It's crazy to think of all the things that would have happened while this gentle giant slowly grew up...
