There are mainly two types of petunias:
The shape of its petals and its countless color variations make it a favorite among gardeners. Whether you have a large garden or a small balcony, petunias shine everywhere. Here are some tips for growing petunias at home:
Grandiflora: Its flowers are large, but they fade quickly in extreme heat or rain. Multiflora: Its flowers are smaller, but they bloom in large numbers and can withstand harsh weather.
Petunias prefer well-draining soil. A mixture of 40% soil, 30% compost (vermicompost), and 30% sand/cocopeat is best. You can plant them in pots, flower beds, or hanging baskets.
Petunias are a "sun-loving" plant. They require at least 5-6 hours of direct sunlight daily. The more sunlight, the more abundant the flowers will be. In less sunlight, the plant will simply spread its leaves and produce fewer flowers.
