A beach in the mountains to reconnect us with nature
This place is packed during the summer months so it was a real treat to relax on the beach of our local lake all on our own. The sun was hot and it was a good reminder for us after this long winter why we live here in this awesome spot under the mountains.
The kids wanted to ride their vehicles. Mum wanted them to wear their protective head gear. Dad didn't feel it to be of great importance, but was quick to let it go ;)
Esteban is fast on his bike these days and always takes the lead.
Leaving Luna playing catch-up on her "mokobock' as she lovingly calls it. The going was slow on the grass.
A moment of appreciation for the view.
And down to the beach we go.
It was a bit cold when the wind blew so jumpers and jackets remained on.
The game today was to dig holes in the sand and fill them up with water.
Esteban investigates the plants growing in the sand.
And even put together a little pile of sticks in the hope that we would set it on fire, while Luna tries to bury herself.
One final moment with his feet in the sand before bags were packed and it was time to go.
Am very grateful for days like this, and look forward to more. When the people are here in the Summer it is fun in a different kind of way because everyone is splashing around in the lake. As a home schooler, getting them to places where they can interact with other kids in a relaxed environment is important.
Right, that's it for now.
Over and out.

It's good to be out and to be grateful for life.
Be well
You know it! Much easier to feel this gratitude when we are in nature :)
