Summer in December in Dubai
The winter season officially started in the world, the northern hemisphere, at least in the beginning of last month November, not in Dubai, it's becoming colder but not wintery.
In April, 8 months ago, Dubai, and the whole of the UAE and its neighbouring countries witnessed the flash flood of the century when within 24 hours only, the equivalent of 10 years poured down from the skies and the drainage systems struggled to manage.
Since then, scarce rain showered the UAE different cities, mainly the northern ones, but that was it.
Until this very day, you can see people in their T-shirts and shorts in the day time and the evening would need a light jacket or a sweater.
This is the same place that peaked over 60 degrees Celsius during the summer as the 'feel as' temperature.
We took advantage of the warmer weather and visited the Qudra Lakes, Flamingo Lakes, and the Love Lakes in it some 55 kilometres drive from Burj Khalifa, artificial lakes in the middle of the desert.
