Lavender

Lavender is a type of flowering plant that belongs to the mint family. The plant develops simple, and produces blue, violet or lilac flowers. Each plant produces around 1 to 8 bunches of flowers which propagate via root or stem division. Its name comes from the Latin verb “lavare” that means “to wash” as it took an incredible importance on bathing rituals in the ancient Rome as it has disinfect antiseptic properties. Essential oils of lavender are often used too as they produce relaxing effects in most people.
