Tropicario, Bogotá
How I love taking pictures of nature! And how wonderful that big cities always have green spaces where you can escape the traffic and crowds on beautiful sunny days.
The Bogotá Botanical Garden is a sight to behold, but its Tropicário is even more so. It’s a great way to learn about the country’s climatic diversity, especially useful if you don’t have much time to explore it in its entirety. Plus, it’s the perfect way to start getting to know and understand why it’s so appealing to travelers.
This complex features a series of domes designed to recreate each microclimate representative of Colombia’s biodiversity. Access is included with admission to the capital city’s Botanical Garden, though there are other options that allow you to explore only the garden’s outdoor areas.
