Strangeness in nature, what is this?
I was out walking and saw something that struck my eye as out of place, it looks like lychen, and behind it seems like a red bead (insect egg?), i didnt see the small red bead at first cause its behind the lychen like mass, the lychen like mass made me think of kolibiri nests.
It doesnt look like its constructed more like its grown, but we know insects can produce things that looks natural, like hornets building big nests of chewed paper.
This may also be a flower that has somehow been infected by mutated lychen spores from the strange rain we have. I wouldnt touch it tho, makes me think of those furry caterpillars thats so poisonous to touch...
Thanks for checking out my post :)

thanks for asking, i wonder myself, i think its at the end of a rosebush twig, so maybe if the twig was cut, something started growing from the cut / sap. its one of those rosebushes that produce fruit...

update: now the small red bead/egg is gone, it still has small dried marks in the leaf left behind, but nothing red from the pod itself... maybe it hatched...
