A beautiful place in Nigeria — Gurara Waterfalls

There are places in Nigeria that make you wonder why we don't talk about them more often.

One of them is Gurara Waterfalls in Niger State.

Located along the Suleja–Minna road, Gurara Falls is a massive natural waterfall surrounded by greenery. It stands at roughly 30 metres high and stretches about 200 metres across.

But here's the interesting part: the waterfall changes dramatically with the seasons.

During the rainy season, the increased flow of the Gurara River can turn the falls into a powerful curtain of water covering much of the cliff. Research on the waterfall found that its peak period is generally during the rainy months, particularly around June to October.

Imagine standing there and hearing hundreds of litres of water crashing down while surrounded by thick green vegetation. 🌿

And during the drier months, the water becomes calmer, creating a completely different atmosphere.

Nature really doesn't need special effects.

Sometimes, Nigeria itself is the view. 🇳🇬❤️
