Galactic Volcano

An image from one of the highest points in Australia
I scouted the area during the day but didn’t get a chance to go too far because of the thickness of the snow at the time. I opted for a rock structure close to where we were camping & setup during the night. When darkness came around the stars in the sky was so bright because of the lack of light pollution that it was easy to align the Milky Way by eye.
