Superman's raincoat for a children's holiday

Hello!

Today I want to talk about my first experience in tailoring a costume for a children's holiday.
My son loves the Superman character.
And so it was not necessary to choose among the heroes :)

I sewed a raincoat and a mask literally in an hour.
Of course I will change it to make the costume neater and safer.

For sewing a raincoat, I took the usual blue fabric and felt.

Superman's distinctive badge made of felt:


The edge of the mark is sewn with a needle with a thread:


And glued the received mark on the fabric:

To the very cloak sewn ribbons for strings:

The strings decided to make velcro and it turned out to be a bad idea - they moved out, so I’ll think of a more reliable option:
