I remember the hat and I still admire the pattern and also still don’t have a clue about mosaic knitting. I get nervous with more than one thread of yarn in my hands, so I am not too sure I should try this technique although I love the finished appearance.
And thank you for the sock pattern. It is encouraging to try something new. Up today I only tried top down patterns and the last top down pattern which was called the rainbow sock, did not fit so well at the heel and feet.
That's the nice thing about mosaic knitting: you only use one yarn at a time. The pattern comes through the slipped stitches - simply not knitting a stitch, but slipping it from one needle to the other. In a way mosaic knitting is cheating ;)
