Always find the time to sew

Hello again!

So my week was verrryyyyyy CHAOTIC!!!!!! I did not get time to write, but I did however find time to sew (I always find time to sew, LOL).

Well firstly the weekend before was my second eldest daughter's 5th birthday party. We had some great fun with family visiting. This included lots of eating, late nights, early mornings, board games and a Christmas bed in my living room.

But then the flu struck me on Monday, we also began our Gluten-free diet (and this is way harder than I thought it would be) and my children being out-of-control due to being overtired and overstimulated from the weekend. Finally on Thursday I got myself up and ready to rollllll.....

Here follows my creations for the week. I hope my customer will enjoy them. They were sent off this morning.

This is 2x night nappies with a total of 27 layers of absorbency. I used waterproof softshell which is more breathable than PUL and great for nights. This mama also want to test out some mama-cloth (reusable sanitary pads), so I made her 2x regular pads and 2x liners. Mama-cloth is so much better on the environment, no chemical smells, more absorbent, more healthy, no shifting and so much cooler.

You've done really well considering the flu and change of diet, @semcomama... Take it easy !

Thanks @cryptocariad! But my little business help put food on the table and don't tell anyone but I am a bit of a sewing addict. I need at least a weekly kick!

No way! Also a wahm @semcomama! Well done on getting sewing in no matter what! My sewing is always last on the list no matter what!

@buckaroo I actually went on Facebook and I am on your group! Love your work!!!

Well best I join your group! Although to be honest I only ever go on fb to post on either Buckaroo or Goshna. I don't follow since any laptop time is spent on Steemit now!

Oh nooo - fluuuuu. I send you healing vibes! I hope you already feel a bit better or have some help, as I can imagine handling kids, job and flu together is no fun.
Your pads and nappies look perfectly neat and beautiful. I can imagen your customer will be very satisfied.

Thanks @neumannsalva, I am feeling much better. Hubby helps out at night and I have a 7 year old that loves helping me out with the smaller ones. Thank you so much, making nappies is my passion.

Your pads and nappies looks beautiful and cool..i wanna try using nappies like that. I think its economical because it can be used again. And it causes less garbage. Thanks @semcomama for sharing it to us. 😊

Hi @dizzyapple! Yes is so much more economical, better for the environment, no chemicals and you get so many prints. I am actually also looking into making some steemit tutorials on making nappies and pads. I want to actually start producing more at more affordable prices but I need funds to this. Please share my crowdfunding campaign. https://fundition.io/#!/@semcomama/wh561fntd

I delegated you some SP - should make it easier for you to post and comment. If I don't need it back (you never know what might happen) you can keep it for a while. If you are inactive for several weeks I'll remove the delegation, SP need to work ;)

Welcome to #NeedleWorkMonday! It’s so great to have you join us and share your lovely work! Sorry for the late welcome but I am just returning from a social media break. 😊

Your nappies are beautiful and so professional! Our fifth baby is 5 months now. Since I first started having children I told myself I would research the best system and prepare to only use cloth diapers. I never committed to it but I wish I would have. I know the babies that get to receive these are going to be happy! 😄

Thank you for sharing your beautiful work with us! Looking forward to seeing more. I hope you get around to mingling with some of the other needleworkers! I am amazed every week at what is posted under the #NeedleWorkMonday tag.
