40th Prime Minister of NEPAL
Sher Bahadur Deuba, Nepali Congress President, is elected as 40th prime minister of Nepal on 6th of June 2017. In the prime ministerial election held in the Parliament, Deuba secured 388 votes, eight short of two-third majority in the 593-member Parliament. This is fourth tenure as a Prime Minister. He also a research fellow of London School of Economics.
PM Deuba was born on 13 June 1946 in Dadelhura district. Currently residing in Chappali, Budhanilakantha, Kathmandu. He originally from Ruwakhola, of Dadeldhura in the far western region of the country. He is married to Arzu Rana and is a father of a son.
