Scientists Create Shining Trees That Can Light the Streets

Later, future roads will be illuminated by luminous trees and not streetlights. This is all thanks to the breakthroughs of scientists in creating biolumis plants.

In one experiment, the experts injected a special nanoparticle into a watercress leaf. This leaves the plant with a dim light for almost four hours. When research is improved, this certainly can solve many problems.
The chemicals involved in the research generate enough light for you to read the book. Its characteristics are not much different from fireflies that create light in their own bodies. To create such a luminous plant, scientists from the Masachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) use an enzyme called luciferase. This enzyme works on a molecule called luciferin, which makes it emit light. Another molecule called Co-enzyme A helps the process by removing byproducts that can inhibit luciferase activity. The MIT team then packs each of these components into different types of nanoparticle carriers.
