The community has hated a fan game in the Half-Life universe
At the end of last month, the release of Hunt Down The Freeman, a fan project for the universe of Half-Life, took place. The main hero of the game is Sergeant Mitchell, who woke up on a hospital bed in the midst of the Seven Hour War - the decisive battle between the inhabitants of the Earth and the interplanetary organization "Alliance". Now the fighter has to not only survive, but also to track down Gordon Freeman, who has chained him to the bed for many years.
Even before its release, the project caused heated discussion in the community. The network has information about the theft of assets from other games, such as Killing Floor, STALKER, Left 4 Dead and Payday 2. The developers themselves denied all accusations, emphasizing that during production they used some materials from other games, but to release them completely got rid of.
But the project without it had a lot of problems, which were noticed both by members of the Steam community, and journalists with bloggers.
