Great idea for a post, @johndoer123, thank you for running the contest!
@suitcasemama and I's absolute favorite thing to do is take a nice long roadtrip and go camping. She didn't do much of this growing up, but as a former tour guide, I took her out once in the American Southwest and she was hooked.
Short trips are fine, but getting unplugged and on the road does wonders for the mind, spirit, and body. We just returned from our first long road trip with our toddler and survived! Haha! We went to Western Australia, check out my wife's trip report for inspiration :)
That was awesome! Thank you for sharing. I think a good long road trip sounds like a great way to clear our minds. Your entry is definitely accepted and I'm going to have to add this one to our agenda.
I'm glad you enjoyed, we had a great time!
Are you going to let everyone know what you eventually decide to do?
I'm going to try to use everyone's suggestions. I have a lot of time to fill. And yes, I'm going to try to do a post about them all . Today was hard for him. He received his first phone call from her. And instead of her being strong for him...she cried the whole time she was on the phone, which only made him feel worse. The last hour and a half has been nothing but tears and I miss my mommy. It's going to be a tough time for him. But there are lots of lessons to be learned and at least she's still alive.
