A glimpse of my story today🕊️, January 21 2026
Hello everyone.
Hello Steemit friends, I hope you're all doing well. This morning, I'm back to share my daily life. In my previous post, I shared a story filled with sadness. However, I've been able to transform that sadness into a truly memorable moment. These days are different, filled with a profound sense of change.
When I woke up in the morning, I saw some ripe bananas in the evacuation center's public kitchen. I asked the local residents for some rice flour to fry the bananas. Luckily, the local residents had some. I asked a local resident for some flour and brought a few grams of rice flour back to the highlands.
Then, around 10:00 a.m., I made fried bananas in the public kitchen. Bananas grown in the forest are incredibly sweet. Last Sunday, my friends and local residents, along with I found bananas, often called "banana ayam," but they were still unripe or green. After a week, I kept them in the public kitchen, and now they're ripe. I then processed them into fried bananas.
An hour later, we shared our results with the local residents of the highlands. This is the result after the refugee residents and I processed the bananas into a very popular dish in Aceh: sweet fried bananas. Then I tasted the fried bananas. Of course, they were sweet and savory. Especially on a sunny afternoon, it was perfect for breakfast.

Everyone has felt the hardship, lately as I told in the post a few days ago, because we rarely get food and other aid, even the sandals on my feet are very bad, even now new sandals are very difficult to get. At 4:00 PM in the afternoon, my friends in the refugee camp headed to the path to the river to get some bottles of water, I also followed them to get river water rather than being bored at the refugee camp.
Every time we go to fetch water from the river, we always pass through the village road. When we see the conditions and circumstances in the village, our hearts are always saddened, remembering the collapsed villages in the highland areas. The main access road is cut off. We always try our best when passing through the village road and seeing residents' homes that collapsed due to the flood last month.
