Hello everyone.

I'm experiencing days of boredom in the current situation in Aceh, Indonesia. Every morning I feel empty and at a loss for what to do. However, I'm always productive every morning to combat my boredom. Sometimes, every morning I wake up, I exercise in the hot morning sun because it's a healthy source of vitamins for my body. That's what my school teacher said.

Today, I haven't been to school for over a month because the school building in my village in Aceh Tamiang completely collapsed and hasn't been evacuated yet. I really miss school and my friends at school, but what can I do, since we're separated?🥹. Every morning, I can only exercise alone in the refugee camp yard and look left and right at the scenery in the highlands.

Boredom is normal, and I always try to find new ways to change things up. Like this morning, I invited my friends in the evacuation center to go to the front of our shelter. It had a pretty nice park, but it was empty, so we were being very cautious. Luckily, my friends were just as bored as I was. When I invited them, they joined us, as they didn't seem to be particularly comfortable in the shelter.

We, along with our new friends, spent time playing in the park in front of our shelter. We walked about a hundred meters, along a rocky path. We spent a lot of time here, running around to entertain ourselves and telling each other stories from our school days. That's how we find variety every day during a time when the electricity and network are completely paralyzed.

The road we took, on our way home and back, here beside a rocky road in the Aceh Tamiang region near the highlands, residents have built tents to survive safely. My heart ached when I saw children who could no longer carry out their normal daily activities before the Aceh floods. It was truly heartbreaking to see them sometimes receive no assistance at all and rarely any assistance from the government.

Not just one or two, but the entire road is filled with refugee camps along the roads in the Aceh Tamiang region of our beloved village. I hope foreign countries or the UN will quickly address this disaster in Aceh, because the people of Aceh desperately need your help. It doesn't look so bad in photos, but if you were to visit Aceh and see it in person, you would surely cry seeing the current Aceh.

Every afternoon, we sometimes have internet and electricity, but only briefly, for example, with the Starlink internet network provided by the government. However, sometimes we go without any network at all, forcing us to seek out connectivity in risky areas, such as higher altitudes, as the higher we go, the less available the network.

Every morning, the food pantry team prepares the best possible meals. Every time food aid arrives, we always have a kitchen team to guide us through breakfast from morning until night. It's sometimes very sad, enjoying meals in the dark every night. I always feel here, every day, or every other day, the situation in Aceh is getting worse, not better. I can always be grateful and pray here that everything will be okay.
