Hello everyone.

Today is such a memorable day, the soul is full of sadness and trauma. Several areas in East Aceh have flooded again. A few days ago in the East Aceh region the flood had receded, but now they are experiencing flooding again. This is what is called aftershock flooding in the East Aceh region of Indonesia.

I didn't have a network at all in the morning until the afternoon. This story and this picture had yesterday, because the support network is the Starlink wifi network which is activated at night from 09:00 to 12:00 at night. I want to continue the story first in the morning, I woke up full of hope, but when I opened my eyes, I was still in the same condition.

In the early morning refugee group around 06:00 am, the PMI team had already cooked breakfast for the refugees in the highland area, Aceh Tamiang. While I was enjoying breakfast with the refugee group and with my grandmother's relatives, I received news and information from the local team, which said that the East Aceh area was being hit by secondary floods, Our hearts were very sad to hear the news, Very sad, Especially in our refugee group there were residents of East Aceh who had not been able to go home to visit their relatives and families.

After I ate, my relatives wanted to go down to the village. The evacuation team told the evacuation group not to go down yet, as the aftershocks weren't over yet. However, my grandmother's relatives and I wanted to go down to the village to look for food. Since food aid hadn't been delivered yet, we searched for food to survive in the refugee camps in the Aceh Tamiang plains. Spices and side dishes were especially hard to find.

Look how much flood water there is here. This used to be a housing complex, but now it has become like a lake.

We were forced to go down to a village not far from the evacuation site above. We were willing to go down to find breakfast and buy whatever food was available there. However, when we arrived, I was heartbroken. We went down to the village with a large group, almost 35 people. We were devastated because several villages were still trapped by the flood, and the residents' homes were still empty.

We were forced to stop here because the road to the market was completely paralyzed. Water was still inundating the village leading to the market. Furthermore, if we went a few hundred meters further, the floodwaters in the village reached the entrance. We were forced to return to the evacuation center because the road access was still very poor. Furthermore, in East Aceh, flooding was ongoing, known as aftershocks. This was caused by a tropical cyclone or by persistent bad weather, with rain continuing every midnight.

Last night, we had a very hard time finding firewood, as some of it was wet and difficult to light due to the floodwaters. Our cell phone batteries were extremely low, as we couldn't charge them yesterday due to the power outage. We were very careful about maintaining our cell phone batteries, using them as flashlights when we needed them in the dark.

My friends and I were always looking for entertainment every night to keep us from getting bored in the dark because the electricity wasn't working properly. We were very grateful for the internet connection, which we found for an hour or two a day thanks to the Starling network. Every night, we were in the heat, and the weather was very hot, and with the power outages, we felt very warm here. Even though it was raining, we felt warm.

We hope that the East Aceh region that was trapped by the aftershocks, we really hope that those there are okay🥹, May they be given fortitude and patience to face this trial.
