It's difficult to find the things we need🙂. January 9, 2026
Hello everyone.
Often I am filled with complaints about routine, tiredness and emotional, or loneliness, such as, This morning I am already tired. Even though I am always running in my mind full of anxiety or, Nothing is as tiring as monotonous days like the old days. Because morning comes so that humans know that they have the right to have a new opportunity. Good morning, friends, have a nice day. A few hours ago I couldn't make my daily post, because I didn't have an internet connection here. So I posted this story tonight.
In the morning, I'm here as usual, but this morning I was far away in our refugee camp. After breakfast at the refugee camp, my friends and I went to a village to buy our necessities. Because in the refugee camp, food aid is rarely given, so the residents here sometimes come together to find food for themselves.
I need to find some essentials, like cooking oil and gasoline, because the power has been going out every night lately. So, buying gasoline is crucial for burning wood, because the firewood here is very difficult to burn because it's wet. It's hard to light a fire unless you use gasoline to make the wet wood catch fire easily.
We were still passing through the same roads in the highland villages, the villages we passed were still in the same condition, still messy and several large pieces of wood were still scattered on the road. Due to the rain last night, the roads here were very slippery. We usually buy some necessities in the village in the photo, like buying cooking oil and rice, but for several days now the place has not been stocked and people selling them are hard to find.
That's why we traveled quite a long way today with our friends in the evacuation center. We crossed roads that collapsed due to last month's flooding. Several areas in Aceh, such as East Aceh and Pidie Jaya, have experienced flooding again. The people of Aceh are feeling immense grief, but the Acehnese are mentally strong.
We're trying to find the things we need, like cooking oil, gasoline, rice, and vegetables, to buy and take back to the evacuation center in the highlands. We've been incredibly tired lately. Every morning we have to clean our living area. Every time it rains, the mud gets muddy and messy.

After a tiring journey through the village, we didn't get much in return, as we found the necessary supplies to take back to our refugee camp, such as cooking oil, gasoline, and rice. Although the prices were higher due to the critical rice supply crisis in Aceh, it was 4:00 PM WIB. It was time for breakfast. Today's menu was still the same: white rice and a few simple side dishes.
That night, the rain continued to fall, but not heavily, just a light drizzle. Tonight, we had a new twist: we roasted sweet potatoes and enjoyed the quiet night. But don't be mistaken, even though it was a quiet night, we were able to create interesting stories with our friends, so we didn't feel anxious or sad, because we always had fun stories to share with our friends.
Today, I don't have much to share in today's post. Because the situation remains the same, I'll just share the interesting things. I hope we can always be happy here, even though Aceh is now very different from what it was before. I hope we can always be cheerful in facing our days ahead.
