Hello everyone.

Hi everyone, today I'm Laila and I want to share a little story about my visit to a village that became a river after a flood a few months ago. I won't talk much about my daily activities today, because in this post, I want to share something important.

Aceh isn't just Aceh anymore; it's not what it used to be. The situation is truly chaotic. Even the people in my village are having a hard time finding work and meeting their daily needs. Why? Many regulations in Aceh are very unfair. Even to get any job, we need a high school diploma or a higher education. If we only have a high school diploma, it's very difficult to find work.

What we're experiencing now is truly terrible. Don't look at the media, because our situation isn't publicized. Truly, no one can survive here. Everything is difficult. As they say, you work as hard as you can, but the pay is very low, and all the taxes are very high.

Today, I visited a village. The village I visited used to be very beautiful and fresh, with many houses here, and even the village I visited was better than where I used to live. But nature had a different plan. Due to irresponsible people destroying the forest, there was no house left in this village. The houses here collapsed due to flooding caused by people who had no good hearts. It was a great shame. The residents here were forced to surrender and had no possessions at all. Even the yards of the residents' houses here became like lakes, similar to rivers. Imagine how terrible the floods were in Aceh a few months ago.

The forest is being destroyed, the trees are being cut down, and corruptors are turning it into a source of income. We, the common people, can only stand by, and the result is devastating flooding because the large trees in the forest have been cut down. I can't imagine our situation here. And after such a devastating flash flood, the government doesn't even feel guilty, and they've even stopped providing aid.

It's truly difficult. Even the bridges accessing the national road are being repaired simply. In every village where housing is completely lost, there's no solution at all to provide assistance. Even more bizarrely, every fallen electricity pole and damaged road is ignored. We've truly experienced a truly chaotic change here. Electricity and the network are completely useless. As I said earlier, no one would feel at home in Aceh if the government isn't fair; it's like colonizing their own people.

You know, every time we're hungry, we have to find our own food. For example, whether we have money or not, we have to find food or a menu. Even the prices of goods, including basic food, have risen so high. Just imagine, people sometimes have no assets left and have difficulty finding work, yet the prices of everything are so high. It's unfair, right?

Salaries are low, goods are expensive, and the government requires everyone applying for a job to have a high degree of education. Yet, the strange thing is, the completely destroyed schools haven't been repaired. It's very strange, considering we want to go to school, but we don't have one anymore because our school collapsed due to flooding caused by greedy humans cutting down large trees in our forests.

We are forced to earn a living as much as possible, For example, we get a daily salary of around 20. And the price of food that we need every day has 100. That's an example of the word, How can we survive in these difficult times. That's why the government doesn't have a good heart anymore, as long as it turns into money, even the trees in the forest become their targets. It's so chaotic now. It's really unexpected that even small children say, it's better for us to die than to be colonized continuously, There's no point in independence because every province has such big problems or conflicts.
