The nights we felt full of hope and gratitude 💤

Hello everyone.

Today I started my day as usual, with the power outage complete and internet access only available for a few hours. The electricity is still completely out, and I'm here with my friends in a group of evacuees. Every day, I think about what will happen to me in the future, especially since I always think about the situation of my family and my village. It's truly heartbreaking.

Many residents of Aceh Tamiang, Aceh, Indonesia, are homeless. Especially with the current situation. In both cities and villages in Aceh Tamiang, the stench is overwhelming: the stench of corpses trapped inside cars during the floods. Furthermore, several provinces and regions in Aceh are experiencing continued flooding.

Here, I can only pray to Allah SWT, that the good deeds of those who died due to the devastating floods will be accepted by Allah SWT, and that the people of Aceh will be given fortitude and strength to face the current situation in Aceh, Indonesia. I am here with my friends in the group. Every day and every night, we can do almost nothing about the current situation.

The electricity is out and the network is completely down. We are busy searching for a network through the aid called Starlink. However, we can only access the network from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM, if even that is possible. During the power outages, it is very difficult to find electricity to charge our phones, except when the generators we received are turned on. We scramble and rush to charge our phones.

The people of Aceh, Indonesia, are currently facing an economic and food crisis. Many people in Aceh Tamiang are desperately short of food aid. Residents here and there are simply waiting for food aid to be delivered by helicopter. How sad the people of Aceh, Indonesia, are right now.

All of us, the people of Aceh, Indonesia and Sumatra, rely on instant noodles and chicken eggs for our sustenance. We still desperately need clean water, such as mineral water, for our daily needs. And almost all of the people of Aceh, Indonesia, are unemployed. We have no income to buy food and other necessities. Because many jobs have not yet started, and many job openings have been suspended, we desperately need sufficient assistance to survive. Please, other countries, please care for the people of Aceh, Indonesia.

No matter how small the donations and assistance from all of you and from other countries, we are very grateful. We need help from other countries. Your assistance given to the people of Aceh, Indonesia, is very valuable to us here. You must rise up as fellow human beings. Please help from countries that are able to help us at this time, because we really need your help. Especially since many bodies in cities and villages are still trapped in cars and have not been evacuated 🥹.
