Hello everyone.

Today we had an interesting story at the flood evacuation site. We went a little further inland with the evacuation group. We saw several things on the plateau. Many residents had already begun searching for food in the still-receding floodwaters. Around the plateau, there were still some waters that hadn't receded, and there were many fish, such as catfish, trapped by the flood.

I was very bored from the morning because the network and electricity hadn't been activated yet. We did many things every day to keep ourselves entertained. Every morning, I always went out to the front of the evacuation site because the atmosphere in front of the evacuation site was more interesting. My friends in the evacuation group invited me to find entertainment in front of the evacuation site.

The fish in the picture are caught by evacuees trapped in floodwaters in the highlands. Residents here are very active in fishing in the flooded waters, even gathering fish for breakfast in their exile camps.

My friends also watched them catch fish with their bare hands. Today, no aid arrived, but we might receive aid from the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) by air in the coming days, as conditions in our area are still very bad and land roads are completely paralyzed. This is how we find entertainment in refugee camps or groups of tented houses.

My friends, especially, are impatient and very emotional when there's no internet connection at all. So we find entertainment together to keep us from getting bored in the refugee camps in the highlands.

Look friends, look at our condition here right now, This is a highland but still trapped in floodwater, there are even several villages that have been submerged due to the very severe floods that hit Aceh-Indonesia, even several areas in Aceh Tamiang were completely destroyed. We are here when we remember the flood disaster, our hearts are very sad because the region of Aceh Indonesia and Aceh Tamiang is completely paralyzed🥹.

That afternoon, we went about our usual activities at the refugee camp. After cooking together in the refugee home, we received a rice packet filled with side dishes from the food aid.

This is our current situation, with nothing left. Hopefully, in the future, we will gain greater wisdom and fortitude to focus on the future. Get well soon, my Indonesia.
