" The Traditional palm Fruit pitha in Bangladesh".(Steamded Taler pitha recipe).

Assalamualaikum everyone! Hello steemit Friends, I am @tanjinajara. I am new member in this platform. I am fine Alhamdulillah. By the grace of God, I hope you are all well. I pray to Allah that Allah keeps everyone well and healthy. Today for the first time on the steemit platform I will share a traditional pitha recipe with you. I hope you are support me. Iam going to the most favourite traditional pitha in Bangladesh, Taler pitha recipe (streamed taler pitha recipe). It's Also called Vapa taler pitha.

Vapa Taler pitha is delicious Bengali sweet delicacy, especially popular in rural areas of Bangladesh during the winter and monsoon seasons. It is made using ripe palm fruit pulp, (taler rosh), rice Flour, sugar. This pitha is streamed, which make is soft, fragrant and healthy. The Ingredients needed to make palm pitha are given below-

Now I will make a butter for Making palm pitha--
Step- 1
First the ripe palm Fruit is squeezed to extract the thick plup.Then the pulp mixed with Rice flour, sugar, and salt.

Step-2
Then I rice flour, sugar, and pinch of salt mixed very well. Rice flour is lightly roasted and sieved to make it fine and dry. If you want mixed some water you can it, but you have to use hot water. When palm fruit butter is ready then I will keep it rest half an hour.

Step-3

A traditional pitha maker or a simple steamer is use for cooking. I took a pot for make palm pitha. In our village, palm pitha made in a pot, they do it another system to made palm pitha. First I took a pot and wrapped it in a cloth.Then I spread 4 pice of taler butter on the cloth wrapped in the pot.

Step-4
Steam the pithas for 10-15 minutes on medium heat until firm and cooked through. After 10 minutes I check the pitha, when the pitha is looks smoothly then I will remove the pitha. Remove the pitha carefully and served warm.These taste best when eaten fresh.

This pitha not onli represents the rice flavor of Bengali traditional Sweets also reflects the culture of homemade, seasonal desserts. It is enjoying during festivals, family occasion and especially winter.when Vapa taler pitha is ready it gives off a beautiful aroma of palm fruit.

In Bangladesh, Taler pitha is more than just food- its a reminder of the bond between nature and tradition. Every bite carries the warmth of homemade flavours and the essence of Bangladeshi village life. Weather Served hot or cold, its brings back memories of childhood and cultural heritage, making it a timeless favourite and Bengali cuisine.
This pitha not Only delicious but also rich and nutrients, as the palm fruit contains vitamins and natural sweetness. In rural Ares, women often preparing together, turning the cooking Process into a joyful social event.
