3D Printing Revolution using Cannabis, Coffee & Beer!!!
While cannabis and coffee may be the preferred fuel to start the day for artists and hackers, with some later beers to sustain the flow, extracts of these compounds are now being manufactured into custom organic Polylactic Acid (PLA) filaments for 3D printers.
3Dom USA is a new North Dakota based venture pioneering “highly specialized 3D printing filaments with an eye toward ec0-friendliness and sustainability.” A new partnership with C2renew portends a new era in specialized eco-friendly biocomposite materials for the 3D printing industry.

The coffee-based filament, using waste products from coffee making, is named Wound Up. It prints objects that smell like coffee, and have a natural grained rich brown color.
The hemp-based filament Entwined is produced from industrial hemp, and has a natural, biological looking iridescence with its various shades.
The beer-based biocomposite Buzzed, is made from beer manufacturing waste products. It prints with a natural grain and rich golden color.
These biocomposite filaments will generally work on any 3D printer that uses standard PLA materials and settings, but it would be most wise to check your printer before proceeding.
Renewable biocomposites such as these herald a new wave of eco-friendly technological improvements in a society that creates massive mountains of waste.
Positive moves by innovative companies are always to be appreciated.
And now even straight people can discover how cannabis, coffee and beer can be most useful in their lives !!!
