Siafunds TSO Outcome

The Siafunds Tokenized Securities Offering (TSO) concluded on Saturday morning. We sold 231 Siafunds at a price of $7,500 per Siafund. Taking into account presale agreements with three investors, we raised approximately $1.5 million.

We will immediately use this capital to expand the Sia development team. We have already hired one new core dev, Matt Sevey, and plan to hire two more in the coming weeks. This will double the size of our existing dev team.

While we had hoped to sell more Siafunds in this offering, we recognize that today’s token sale environment is filled with regulatory uncertainty. Most projects have put their fundraising efforts on-hold until we have more clarity from our regulators. Today, most VCs are greatly preferring equity to tokens.

With a team of three devs, Sia is one of the most actively developed projects in the cryptocurrency space, with one of the only working products. We believe in quality — not quantity — and are confident that the capital raised in this TSO will significantly increase our pace of development.
