Sure we could. That doesn't mean we should. If our homeless population was shrinking rather than growing I'd consider letting more people in. However, we are having more and more of the people that already live here increasingly having problems. We should solve that before we are stupid and add more people to it.
Studies have shown that illegal trespassers in our country actually cost the tax payers substantially more than someone who is already a citizen but struggling.
I prefer to be smart rather than let my compassion drive off a cliff.
Honestly man, I don't disagree with you there. It does alot of damage in places we don't all see. Hopefully one day we will come up with a better solution. Every day I see new forms of generating money. Ironically the charitable methods tend to genereate less lol. Either way good words. Take it easy :)
