I am not sure that we would follow the dictator in question any more then we do a book of laws, or any other system for that matter, human nature or greed, always finds a way to corrupt a system.
The leader we seek must be of AI type and dictate resources and labor with an immutable system, a ledger that gives work and resources in the best interest of man. It must dedicate food and shelter as well, punting us all at equal ground, no matter how much we contribute to humanity or not.

Otherwise the only savoir is a change in faith, a change of our very nature, where we suddenly realist that the greater good is more important then personal survival, which goes against all of biology and our purpose as living organisms. Therefore I sadly believe that we will be subject to an AI system or world government prior to changing our ways, if we ever will!
