Steem used to be an uncensored, decentralized platform - until Justin Sun bought Steemit and used its stake to become a dictator, handpicking the witnesses, censoring posts and stealing balances. That's why I removed this post and started blogging on Hive. You can still read all my posts there.

    Thanks for the tip. @steemmagazine does exist. I checked a lot of names in the eSteem app, which has a user search feature with predictive text. Anyway, I don't want steem in the name; it's not news about Steem and it's obvious that it's news on Steem.

    Yeah I think today is a good way to start... Maybe @todaysteem or @todaynews if they're still availble. (Edit: @todaynews is taken.)

    Conclusion: either very few people are interested in changing the name from @newforyou, or I should run a contest with a higher reward.
