mostly they shoot people's dogs when they are raiding drug dealer's houses, it is pretty shitty, it would be a whole lot cooler if they didn't but a lot of dogs will be aggressive if someone kicks in their door.
The real solution to this problem is to end the prohibition of drugs and then we would only have a small fraction of the police raids and shot dogs we have now.
