Maskan Rastogi, wife of former business naval officer Saurabh Rajput, allegedly replaced her husband's medical leaflets to buy sleeping bullets, which he used to drug before killing him brutally. After drugs, Saurabh was killed by Maskan and her lover Sahil Shukla, penetrating her body into 15 pieces, and sealed the body parts into a wet cement -field drum. The pair then fled to Himachal Pradesh, where they posted pictures on social media on social media to mislead Saurabh's family, assuming that he was on leave. On March 18, Masankan confessed his mother about the murder, informed the police and both Maskan and Sahil were arrested.
Investigations have revealed that Masankan and Sahil were involved in an additional relationship from around 2019, causing tension between Muskan and her husband. Saurabh discovered the relationship and considered divorce, but decided to think about his daughter's future. Maskan and Sahil planned to kill Saurabh to prevent Saurabh from ending their drug season.
On his arrest, Maskan and Sahil were taken into custody and confessed to murder. They are currently registered in Chaudhary Charan Singh District Jail in Meerut, where they are facing symptoms of withdrawal of serious drugs and have been given treatment.
The police is preparing to file allegations against Muskan and Sahil in a fast-track court to ensure rapid and fair tests. Officers are also investigating the billing records, stocks and accounts of the USHA Medical Store, and there are speculation that legal action may be taken against the store, which is probably leading to dismissing its license.
