I love Ubuntu, but I don't think that Ubuntu Touch will be a success.
Oh I beg to differ! Lots of exciting things in the works. They are working on integrating anbox, which will let people run android apps on it. This is the ubuntu touch app store: https://open-store.io/
The biggest key they need to work on imo is porting it to newer phones. Once that is done, I have a legit replacement for my android phone.
