England Became the Cricket World Cup Champion
England first time winning the World Cup by defeating New Zealand.
The World Cup Final was played in the historic cricket ground of Lord’s, and first time in the World Cup history, the match was tie. The super over was given for the win, both the teams scored 15 runs in super over and super over was also tie then England declared as the winner due to more boundaries.
New Zealand scored 241 runs in 50 overs by batting first and England lost early wickets in the chase and put their self in trouble but thanks to Buttler and Stokes, both played good innings and made 110 runs partnership.
Ben Stokes scored 84 not out in the match and 8 runs in the super over and awarded player of the match.
Kane Williamson scored 578 runs in the tournament and awarded player of the tournament.
